Joel Engulu

Coach Joel M. Engulu is a seasoned leader, entrepreneur, and coach with over 10 years of experience developing athletes to perform with discipline, confidence, and consistency. Known for his belief in mastering the fundamentals, Coach Engulu takes a simple but powerful approach to player development: repetition, accountability, and daily excellence. Like a true teacher of the game, he emphasizes doing the small things right over and over until they become second nature. His coaching style pushes players to give their absolute best while building the habits, focus, and mental toughness needed to compete at a high level. A Congolese-American entrepreneur and marketing strategist, Joel also brings a unique depth of leadership to his coaching, shaped by years of experience helping businesses, ministries, and nonprofits grow with purpose. He earned his Master’s degree in Public Administration and Policy from The University of Texas at San Antonio and is the Co-Founder of CROWNED Christian Network, where he helps leaders build visibility, credibility, and meaningful impact. Beyond the court, Coach Engulu is a builder of people, vision, and legacy. He is also the President of Ruth’s Home for Children, a U.S.-based nonprofit dedicated to supporting orphans and widows in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, a mission that reflects his heart for service and transformation. Whether he is coaching athletes, leading organizations, or mentoring entrepreneurs, Joel is committed to helping others break through limitations, walk in clarity, and become the best version of themselves. Through CROWNED, he has created a thriving space where Christian entrepreneurs and professionals can grow together, collaborate, and build Kingdom-centered businesses with purpose.
